I’m a genre/gender bender pushing the limits of commonly held paradigms and breaking apart borders as needed.
I’ve been exploring worlds through writing since childhood—all sorts of worlds: physical, metaphysical, terrestrial, extraterrestrial, and inter-dimensional ones.
While embodied on this chaotic world, I have felt the weight of hopelessness for my self and the collective. In this despair, I have seen a great need to re-envision the current, consensus world through storytelling.
Storytelling by someone who’s experiencing life in a human body, not by an AI.
Storytelling that respects the pacing and depth of that human existence and does not waver according to unsustainable, hyperspeed capitalist rating systems.
Speaking of AI and futuristic capitalism, I am exhausted by other, classic and ruling science fiction tropes of military conquest, nihilism, social fragmentation, excessive attachment to materialism, and extreme violence—stories of trauma and isolation that provide no hope for healing and reconciliation.
If these are the kinds of stories we continue to tell, we are likely to perpetuate them.
Using my diverse set of skills and experience in creative and technical writing and editing, I craft stories that inspire me. What inspires me is likely to inspire others seeking what I’ve been seeking. That inspiration continues to be informed by my growing, personal experience with spiritual modalities centered on Buddhist meditation, chanting, breathwork, and other subtle energy healing. These practices teach me to transmute stories of suffering into heartfelt narrative webs that resonate at manifold levels.
I am continually dancing in a transformative interplay with the stories emerging from the transpersonal matrix and revealing themselves to me. The Leaders of Aluzamoak series is one of these.
